AS USA can confirm that the Herons are in negotiations with Celta Vigo for the Argentinian winger, but are facing competition…
Dreams come true at Christmas, or at least some of them. AS USA can confirm that Inter Miami has stepped up talks with Spanish club Celta Vigo to sign winger Tadeo Allende for the new campaign.
Inter Miami's plan to loan Tadeo Allende
A plan has been proposed by the MLS franchise, which will absorb the player's wages and secure an option to buy him at the end of the contract. But that did not convince Celta. The Herons will do everything they can to get Allende to Fort Lauderdale before the end of the year, but the operation is very complicated. What is certain is that the attacker will try to leave Vigo in the January window.
For the time being, “nothing has been finalized” with Inter Miami, and in the meantime a number of other clubs are lining up to sign the winger in the winter period. “Several options are being worked on,” sources close to the operation said.
Which clubs are looking at Tadeo Allende?
As this newspaper had already reported, Granada and Zaragoza, both currently in the Spanish second tier; Palermo, in the Italian Serie B; and Talleres, number two in Argentina, are said to have shown the most interest in the right-sided forward.
The player's priority is to further develop his career in Europe, but the possibility of ending up in Fort Lauderdale cannot be ruled out. In fact, the idea of playing alongside Lionel Messi could ultimately be a determining factor.
“I dream of meeting Messi. “I would do anything to at least practice with him or have a drink with him,” the Celta player said in 2023. As of today, however, all options are still on the table.
In Florida, Miami waits patiently for an answer. The club's proposal ended up in Balaídos' office a few days ago. They are confident that the operation will be unblocked soon, next week at the latest. Inter Miami is determined to support the winger, the only thing missing is his acceptance.
Allende joined Rafa Benítez's Celta from Godoy Cruz for $4.7 million in January 2024, signing a deal to keep him in Vigo until June 2028. In his first six months he made ten appearances and scored one goal, but has since fallen down the pecking order under new coach Claudio Giráldez.
This season he made just one appearance in LaLiga, coming on as a late substitute in the win over Getafe in Week 12. He started both of Celta's matches in the Copa del Rey and scored in both matches, against San Pedro and Salamanca.
