Lautaro scored and won a penalty, converted by Hakan Calhanoglu, because Inter won 4-3 on the night and 7-6 on aggregated.
The Argentina striker then revealed: “I felt the leg stitching and the first two days I was just crying at home, but we did great work with the staff and I managed to recover, even if I wasn't at 100 percent.
“This is how I experience football, you have to give you everything in these games. I promised my family that I would come to the field today.”
When asked about emotions, Lautaro also told Sky Italia: “I have a lot of thoughts in me. We have confronted with a strong team, but Inter has been increasing the level for four or five years, every year, and we are proud.
“This team never gives up and the stadium is incredible with these fans.”
