Martinez stepped up after Yann Sommer was forced due to thumb surgery.
“More than for me, I am very happy for the team,” he said afterwards.
“We knew it would be an important competition, we were in good shape to a team and we brought the three points home, which were very important.”
Martinez also said on their upcoming collision with Napoli: “It is a direct competition, with a team that we are very close to, but we know that the season is still long and it will not end in Maradona.
“We have the mentality to win every competition and that is what matters.”
