Moreover, as reported by Gazzetta, Fabregas was happy to start the potential career jump that it could offer – in Como.
The outlet claims that Fabregas spoke by telephone on Wednesday evening with Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta to discuss the possible movement.
However, there are possible concerns that financial restrictions can cause problems for the Serie A -Giants – that is why they have put other names on the shortlist.
The same outlet claims that Cristian Chivu and Patrick Vieira are both on the shortlist.
Chivu is currently in Parma, but has plans to meet club heads about his future, now that the current season has ended. Vieira is now the manager of Genoa.
Meanwhile, Fabregas arrived for the first time on an interim basis in November 2023, but was offered the full -time role in July 2024.
Since then he has taken the lead on 38 games before the side and, during that, secured promotion from series B to Serie A – before he secured a 10th place finish this season.
In the meantime, Inter was blown away by a beautiful Paris Saint-Germain version on Saturday, with the French champions 5-0 in Munich Triumpheer to win Europe's Elite Club competition for the first time.
The result completed a painful end of the season for Inter, which also missed the Serie A title to Napoli with only one point.
