Inter Milan president Marotta snaps: Cardinale insulted us

Cardinale last week focused on Inter's ownership changes and their transfer spending.

After the victory over Como on Monday evening, Marotta snapped: “These are inappropriate statements, he showed a lack of respect and confused things.

“It is true that our old majority shareholder had financial problems and was supported by Oaktree, who now owns the club, but a person's financial problems are one thing, another is Inter's management respecting certain boundaries.

“In 2021 we lost 240 million, last year we closed with 36 million and we are trying to find sustainability.

“2024 will be a year to remember because we have achieved something extraordinary, we have won two trophies and we hope to continue on this path.”
