The Manchester Evening News says that Mainoo and United at Deadlock are about new contract discussions.
Mainoo would prefer his future before the end of the season, but negotiations remain difficult.
The conversations have been underway since March 2024, but without a true chance is that Mainoo can be on the move this summer.
And looking closely are Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri are encouraged in their interest, knowing that Mainoo would rather move abroad if he has to leave Old Trafford this summer.
United also has an option of 12 months on Mainoo's contract, although there is all probability that there will be a farewell to the ways if no agreement can be reached in the coming months.
