Milan hit their city rivals 3-0, with Luka Jovic scored twice and Tijjani Reijnders was too.
“We are sorry for our fans, who came again in large numbers tonight,” Inzaghi told Sportmediaset.
“That is football, you have to honor Milan.
“There is regret for the first half, because we would have earned more based on what we made.
“In the second half we gave a corner, and Luck was not exactly on our side either. After that we did much less compared to the first half.”
“I'm worried”
Inzaghi admits that he is worried about his players after their collapse. It means that their high hope is now over.
He continued: “Of course (I am worried) – we are not used to losing two in a row.
“We have to analyze both defeats in the right way. We didn't deserve to lose in Bologna and tonight we had no energy in the second half.
“The goal of De Vrij may have reopened the match, but the honor to Milan – they have consistently caused us problems in all five meetings this season. We, myself, should have done more.
“We have to continue. There is both physical and mental fatigue – we must be stronger than all that.
“This trip has brought us a lot of joy, but also some disappointments, like tonight. We should have done better – we missed sharpness in both boxes at important moments of the game.”
