On Tuesday, Inter confirmed that Inzaghi would leave the club. It is generally reported that Inzaghi said yes to Al Hilal after days of reflection and direct negotiations.
It is a decision that comes with the Nerazzurri after four intense seasons, where the Italian is now ready for a different environment and new challenges, as well as a lucrative contract.
In his farewell declaration, Inzaghi wrote: “The time has come to say goodbye to this club after a four -year trip, where I gave everything. Every day my first and last thought always went about Inter.
“It was then answered with professionalism and passion by the players, leaders and all employees of the club.
“The six trophies we have won, including the second star Scudetto, together with our Champions League trips in 2023, and only a few days ago, the living proof of how much my work was supported by a shared concept with my staff and every part of the club.
“I want to thank the shareholders for their relentless support, as well as the president and his employees for their daily help and constant dialogue.”
“I want to devote a final word to the millions of Nerazzurri (Inter) fans who encourage me, cried and suffered at difficult moments and laughed and celebrated in the six triumphs we experienced together,” he added.
“I'll never forget you.”
One Scudetto and two Champions League final
The precisely that just ended did not bring trophies into the trophy cabinet of Nerazzurri and ended in the worst possible way. Inter reached the Champions League final for the second time in three seasons, but lost poorly to Paris Saint-Germain.
That was a defeat that was made even more difficult for the end of the Serie A campaign, with the Scudetto Race won by Napoli from Antonio Conte.
Arrived in Milan in the summer of 2021, Inzaghi won one scudetto, two Italian cups and three Italian super cups. It has built a solid, recognizable interkant that is capable of modern, competitive football.
Before that he had already left his mark in Lazio with one Coppa Italia and two super cups, and he leaves his home country as one of the best coaches.
