Inzaghi happy with Inter Milan effort for Napoli draw

Fede Dimarco had Inter first before Philip Billing hit a late Napoli equalizer.

“It was a difficult match, the first half was in balance, while we had some problems after the break and Napoli pushed us back, but we have to remember that there is a sharp opponent that has clearly fresher legs than we,” Inzaghi told Dazn.

“Nevertheless, we should have done better on the target incident. We lost Dimarco to a muscular problem and had to move Dumfries on the left flank, my boys gave everything they had, given that we played a quarter -finals from Coppa Italia on Tuesday evening.

“We keep going, it is a very balanced campaign with strong teams above, Napoli, Atalanta, Juventus and Lazio all have great seasons.

“The boys tried to help each other, Napoli resigned in the second half, we recently saw them. I had initially decided to go 4-4-2, but they had Politano and Spinazzola wide, so I wanted to protect those flanks, so that Dumfries were placed on the right-hand back and pavard.

“Dumfries would originally remain on the right for a 4-4-2, but we saw Napoli preserving that width and indicated to continue with the 3-5-2, Dumfries.”
