Alexander Isak from Newcastle wants to explore his options while Liverpool regards a huge bid for the striker, and the strikers' comments suggest what he is looking for at his next club
Because Alexander Isak, because of Newcastle -striker Isak, previously outlined his ambitions to win titles, in which Premier League champions Liverpool made up to make their move. The Reds did not waste time sharpening their team for the coming season with a series of high-profile and expensive acquisitions and they still want the Swedish striker through the doors at Anfield.
With Liverpool ready to show their hand, the head of Isak has turned around. But perhaps the instructions for the future of Isak were there all the time, because the 25-year-old communicated his wish to land the biggest trophies of the game.
Although he recognized his dedication to the magpies, suggest his words that Isak may be looking for a level of success – and a contract – that Newcastle simply cannot deliver, whereby the club is impeded by PSR (profit and sustainability regulations).
“I often said, I don't really look too much or think too much about my future,” Isak said four months ago. Making his wish clear to win silverwork at the top level, he continued: “But yes, I said that I am happy here and we are contenders for titles, which you want to win as a football player.
“The opportunities are (to win things). Yes, as I said, I am not thinking of the summer, but that will be a talk point when the season is ready.
“No [contract] Conversations have been held. I have high ambitions. I try to create my own history in Newcastle. Happy with what I have done so far, but always look forward to. “
Isak is now supposed to be private frustrated after the first approach to Liverpool was rejected by the northeast side, according to Sky Sports.
Last week Newcastle boss Eddie Howe confirmed that Isak would not participate in the Newcastle Tour pre-season after the player had announced the club that he wanted to explore his options with regard to his future.
The absence of the Swede was accused of a small thigh problem. But this followed an episode in which Isak was sent home before the 4-0 defeat of Newcastle for Celtic, where Howe ruled that the player was not in the right state of mind to play after speculation about his future.
Events were then complicated by Liverpool's conquest of Hugo Eintracht Frankfurt for a first £ 69 million – a player who was extensively chased by Newcastle.
Isak reportedly saw this as a possible end of his hope to move to Anfield – however, it seems that Reds -Baas Arne Slot wants to structure a daring system with Isak and his new French striker.
Isak has become an icon in his three years in Newcastle. He scored 62 goals and helped them win the Carabao Cup last season, where he defeated the club in the final that he allegedly wants to participate this summer.
Yet the ambitions of Isak are clear and speak volumes – he wants to win trophies. And if one of the best strikers of the Premier League, he also wants to earn a suitable wage, with more than £ 250,000 a week reporting his target.
Earlier this month, the agent of ISAK, Gonzalo Gaitan, told Saudi -Arab publication Arriyadiyah that the future of Isak may rather come to a conclusion later.
“We are indeed studying and analyzing all the options,” he said. “We are perhaps almost the completion of the next step for the player, without revealing details about whether Isak will transfer or will stay with Newcastle.”
But for all the bluster and power of the current power of Liverpool in the transfer market, no offer has still been made. Isak also has three years left to walk his current deal. Nieuwcastle is also supposed to appreciate the player at £ 150 million, which means that Liverpool will probably have to crush the British transfer record again, again with a margin to drag a deal over the line.
Quizzed about the future of Isak this week, said Howe: “He is still our player. He is contracted for us. We have checked to a certain extent what the next one is for him.
“I would like to believe that all possibilities are still available to us. My wish is that it will remain, but that is not under my full control. We have not received a formal offer for Alex, from every club. My wish is that he will stay and we will see him play again next year.”
