Isak will leave Newcastle this summer with Liverpool set to return with bid

Alexander Isak leaves Newcastle this summer with Liverpool who 'comes back' in negotiations for the £ 150 million attacker, Craig Hope predicts the last episode of Whistleblowers.

Hope, the most important football reporter of Daily Mail Sport, also revealed that the Swedish striker has been 'restless' for more than a year.

Hope was paramount in the Isak Transfer-Saga and has only broken his refusal to travel with the first team of Newcastle for their pre-season tour through Asia.

Liverpool has already seen an £ 110 million offer, with the hope of repeating Newcastle's position that they will not entertain any further bids until they have obtained a replacement.

Hope said that Newcastle is now actively continuing Brentford Yoane Wissa and could also watch Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, after reportedly the first choice -target Benjamin Sesko has agreed personal conditions with Manchester United.

“I know that Alexander Isak was restless for the best part of a year,” Hope told whistleblowers fellow-hastheer Mark Clattenburg.

'This goes all the way back to last summer, when Isak did not get the contract that he thought he was owing.

'It has been a turbulent summer for Newcastle – turbulent is the word I would use. I am not for people who say they have crashed and burned.

'Every day now feels like a different rejection – we have seen how this Benjamin Sesko situation has taken place.

'It is back to the drawing table for Newcastle in terms of a striker. Crucial is what that means for Alexander Isak – well, he can't go anywhere until they have those replacements inside. '

Omroep Gordon Smart Print on the hope or he believes that Liverpool's official line are out of the Isak race.

“That was a tactic, in the light of their £ 110 million that was rejected,” Hope responded.

'Liverpool did not get so far to offer £ 10 million under what they have previously discussed verbally, and then walk away from it.

'Liverpool will return, but they will only return if they see Newcastle bring in a replacement.

'The offer would simply be rejected and the price will crawl up and up. But they will come back. '

Smart then asked if Hope believes that Isak will leave Newcastle before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

“Yes,” hopes for the time being.

He then predicted the next step of Newcastle and argued that the club is in a 'stronger position' than is generally assumed.

'From a PSR perspective (profit and sustainability rules) they are strong, they have that draw from Champions League -football and work under Eddie Howe.

'There are other striking goals: Ollie Watkins and Yoane Wissa. I think what the club wants to do, not just one, but two strikers.

'Callum Wilson needs to be replaced, and Wissa, we are led to believe, is the player they are going to pursue about it.

'But then they need a younger model to come to replace Isak – Sesko has checked that box, but if that doesn't happen – there are not many options.

'I answered you yes or no – question earlier – but there is absolutely still the potential that isak remains, because there may be no other alternative.

'Newcastle may have to offer Isak another £ 100,000 a week and have a men's agreement that he can leave next summer.

“This story changes every day, every hour, every minute and fans of Newcastle may not want to hear it, but as a journalist it is fantastic to be central.”
