EZ Abde and Antony had Betis 2-0 ahead before Luca Ranieri withdrew one on Thursday evening for the visitors in the first legs of their Europa Conference League-Half Final.
Despite the Viola target, Isco insisted that they can be happy with the result: “Happy with the victory. It was very important to win at home today. It is true that the result might have been a bit short considering the opportunities we created.
“But I am happy because they are a great team. We have realized the hype. Maybe it is a bittersweet feeling that it was not with a bigger advantage, but it is a semi-final in a European competition and it is not easy.”
Isco also had a word about the relationship he enjoys with the Beticos support.
He added: “Well, finally … when they recognize the work that you do, I am happy. Glad people love me, that I let them enjoy, that is what football is all about. I also enjoy it a lot; the love we feel for each other is mutual.
