Isco’s cheeky one-word jibe at Chelsea ahead of Conference League final showdown

Isco resulted in a brutal response when he was asked to compare Real Betis and Chelsea before the final of the Conference League.

The 33-year-old will want to lead to Betis to European silverware for the first time while they fight the blues in the Wroclaw stage in Poland on Wednesday evening.

The captain of Betis has revived his career in Spain under Manuel Pellegrini and is expected to start just behind the rush.

And when he was asked what the difference was between Chelsea and Betis during a press conference before the competition, Isco thought his sense of humor.

“Good question … especially money, right?” The Spaniard joked.

Isco then grinned with the press room before he took a more serious tone when he spoke about the blues.

“Chelsea and ourselves are two good teams with a number of great players,” Isco continued. 'The game tomorrow is very important for everyone.

'But I believe that what has betis is a lot of excitement, and the possibility of winning a first final is something historic for us.

'Believing is the first step to victory. It will be a very difficult game, but we trust our team.

“We have proven that we are able to beat each team, and we look forward to this final and bring joy to our fans, who have earned it the most.”

Betis has won three Copa del Rey titles, including a triumph in 2022, and have one Spanish title to their name.

However, the club has never tasted European glory and never beyond the quarterfinals in the past.

Isco added: 'If you are close to a final, you always visualize what could happen, but you have to concentrate on the game that is at hand.

“This is the first final of Betis, and it would be a dream to win it, but it will be very difficult.”
