IShowSpeed gets annihilated by UFC icon Dan Hooker after challenging him to sparring… ‘Welcome to my world brother’

Popular streamer IShowSpeed has been traveling around New Zealand for the past few days and yesterday dropped by one of the best MMA gyms in the world, City Kickboxing.

Not long after the CKB stream went live, the internet icon challenged UFC lightweight veteran Dan Hooker to a hard sparring session – and it's safe to say 'The Hangman' didn't try his best.

Streamer IShowSpeed challenges UFC icon Dan Hooker to a sparring session

All credit to IShowSpeed, he may talk a big game for the cameras, but he's always more than willing to back up his words; even if that means taking on someone who has fourteen professional wins in the UFC octagon.

After a quick warm-up, Speed challenged Hooker to a light sparring session – “Say less,” the Kiwi replied, the danger of facing The Hangman's noose quickly dawning on the streamer.

“Yo, I don't like this guy's smile, I don't like his attitude man.”

The streamer stuck with the #6 ranked UFC lightweight for the most part, though he was dropped with two nasty body shots quite early in the first round.

Never one to back down, Speed returned for several more rounds of 'light sparring' and would only be dropped once before fatigue began to set in.

“Okay, I think I've had enough, it was fun. That was fun, Ws in the chat,” an exhausted Speed told the camera.

“Boxing is fun, but I feel like if I do this for eight months I can beat all the boxers, it's really just skills you have to learn,” he teased, before embracing it with 'The Hangman'.

“Good s*** bro, but you're a good fighter – I could tell he was making it easy for me.”

Once again, credit to Speed for persevering: “He's the man,” Hooker celebrated.

When can we see Dan Hooker back in the UFC octagon?

Dan Hooker is currently on a three-fight winning streak after returning to the octagon at UFC 305 with a very impressive split-decision win over Polish wrestler Mateusz Gamrot.

The UFC will return to Australia in February next year for a PPV event at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena; Unfortunately, Hooker is not on that card as he and his partner are expecting the birth of their child that same month.

“I'm ready to go in January or March,” Hooker told Helen Yee Sports in October.

'The woman must come [for a baby in] February, so no one can go. I have a little girl on the way… You'd even turn down a big fight with McGregor for it [the birth of your child]. You won't miss that. No panties will be taken off in February.”

January's PPV will take place in Abu Dhabi, a favorite place for Hooker to compete, with former champion Justin Geathje recently stating that he would like to test himself against 'The Hangman'.
