Islam Makhachev responded furiously to Chael Sonnen who called him a coward.
There have been mixed reactions to the UFC light weight champion Makhachev to Welterweight, where he will meet new crowned champion Jack della Maddalena.
Makhachev left his title at 155 pounds for another at 170 pounds in a pursuit of greatness. However, not everyone sees it that way.
Three-time UFC title Challenger Chael Sonnen recently said that Makhachev's move to Welterweight was not a sign of courage, but instead a 'sign of cowardice' for not fighting former featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.
Islam Makhachev would not be friendly to the latest comments from Sonnen.

Islam Makhachev responds to 'Athlete' Chael Sonnen
Responding to demonstrably the best trash in the sport, Makhachev Sonen blasted because he insisted that he was a coward for chasing a second belt.
“Hushing hype and money is not the same as chasing greatness in sport,” wrote Makhachev on 'X'.
“But the average athlete, which built his way to the top with cheap waste conversation, will not understand that.

It was not long before Sonnen Makhacheve read who called him an 'average athlete' with 'cheap garbage play'.
Once a pay-per-view star for the UFC that is about the cage of people like Jones and Anderson Silva (twice), the retired hunter says that Makhachev could learn a few things from him about how to promote a fight.
