Islam Makhachev stunned Adin Ross when he landed a rare submission before hitting him at 100 percent during a recent stream.
The lightweight champion is just days away from UFC 311 at the Intuit Dome in California in what could be a record-breaking title defense. He will face Arman Tsarukyan in a rematch of their hastily scheduled clash in 2019, with a win earning him the distinction of most lightweight title defense in history.
As a final piece of promotion for the event, the otherwise relatively quiet Russian was invited to participate in a Kick stream with the controversial Adin Ross. And he made the most of his time, collecting some hilarious clips of their interactions.
Islam Makhachev kicked Adin Ross out before the stream started
This past week, Adin Ross promoted a stream with UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. The social media star is known to be close to promotion boss Dana White and regularly welcomes fighters to his stream.
However, fans were fascinated to see how he would handle a more conservative character like Makhachev, who speaks English as a second language. And in a funny early moment, the champion kicked Ross out of their conference room so he could delve into the fight footage.
Ross seemed okay with letting Makhachev watch the video before joining him, but was surprised when manager Ali Abdelaziz made him leave the room. Ultimately, the problem forced him to delay the start of the whole thing before finally meeting the hunter properly.

After the pair sat down and conducted an interview of sorts, Ross asked if he could go into the cage where he made some fighting moves. The multi-millionaire is notoriously unathletic and tends to be humiliated when taking on physical tasks.
That trend continued when he got involved in a twister submission, a move so rare that only one MMA fighter has ever landed him more than once in his career. And when Makhachev tried to allow Ross to try to choke him, he ended up tapping out under his own power, just under the champion's weight.
They then moved on to a punching challenge with Makhachev wearing a heavy boxing glove and Ross wearing an extensive padding. However, he was still floored by the body shot, which was reportedly 100 percent.
“I could only imagine if I wasn't wearing this,” Ross said while talking about his body protector. “I'd probably break my rib.” And when his manager tried to take the same blow, he commented: 'That was crazy, that was crazy, I couldn't breathe for like 40 minutes. [seconds].”
