Islam Makhachev has always made its intention to become a UFC -Dubbele Champion and he is perhaps about to go up in weight finally.
Islam Makhachev recently defended his lightweight title for a record -breaking fourth time when he submitted Renato Micano in the first round of their UFC 311 Main Event.
After the fight, Makhachev again sketched his wish to fight for a second belt, but also encouraged a fight against middleweight champion, Dricus du Plessis, in a triple champion plea.
Nevertheless, the dust has now settled over its recent victory and the champion in the training, he considers what could be possible.

Islam Makhachev Planning permanent relocation to Welterweight
Recently the Makhachev manager teased that he and the UFC are already discussing big plans for the next fight by Makhachev, where they exclude fighting against Charles Oliveira, Arman Tsarukyan and Ilia Topuria.
However, the champion recently stated that he would then consider a title defense against Justin Gaethje, depending on the UFC 313 fight by Gaethje against Dan hooker.
That said, the 33-year-old also claimed that he plant a permanent movement of a weight class, because lightweight has not left any contenders to defend his belt against.
“I don't see much work in my division, I beat almost everyone,” Makhachev began to explain to Ushatayka.
“I am thinking about moving to 170 and I can stay there. I do not want to make statements (about Belal Muhammad or Shavkat Rakhmonov), we will see how the fight is going, I have not spoken to the UFC since my last fight, we have to sit about these moments and talk about these moments, “continued.
Could Islam Makhachev then fight against his teammate?
When Makhachev has talked about possibly rising earlier in weight, he did not fully explain whether he would do that or not because of the fact that his teammate, Belal Muhammad is currently the champion.
Not only that, but his head coach, Khabib Nurmagomedov has stated that he 'would not be in order' with Makhachev against Muhammad.
Nevertheless, as Makhachev has explained several times, he has goals to become a double champion himself and he wants to do it for his legacy.
With the lightweight champion that focuses on a return of July to the Octagon, he will probably wait at the height of Muhammad vs Rakhmonov before he declares his move to Welterweight.
