UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev showed his entire Arsenal to end his rivalry with Alexander Volkanovski.
Islam Makhachev, a top protection of UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov, rose as a championship fame for its elite wrestling base and wild style. But in a rematch with Alexander Volkanovski on UFC 294, Makhachev showed out with Elite who stood out to complete his entire arsenal.
Makhachev and Volkanovski participated in a candidate 'Fight of the Year' at UFC 284, where Makhachev ran away with a decision victory. It is still as demonstrably the most difficult test of Makhakev's career in a fight that some believe that Volkanovski earned the nod on the jury's score cards.
However, the Rematch was not competitive.

After Charles Oliveira suffered a annoying cut a few days before UFC 294, the UFC matchmakers crawled to find a discount on a short-note against Makhachev. Volkanovski, who had reported Yair Rodriguez to defend the UFC belt of featherweight only a few months earlier on UFC 290, cut a large part of the weight to fill in against Makhachev and their instant classic matchup.
After entering into Short-notice challenge, some believed that Volkanovski could shock the world and Makhachev on days of cancellation. But Makhachev put an emphatic end to his rivalry with Volkanovski with a candidate 'Knock -Out of the Year'.
Volkanovski teased a fast start at UFC 294 and had some positive moments in the first two minutes of the fight. He used legs and fast movement to avoid the progress of Makhachev.
But it didn't take long before Makhachev found his foot, and when he did, fireworks followed. Makhachev landed a huge main kick, followed by vicious ground-and-pound, to preserve the lightweight championship.

Islam Makhachev is on a collision course with a current UFC title holder
Two years later, Makhachev is the pound-for-pound king of the UFC and is located in the middle of one of the most dominant title rule in the history of mixed martial arts. For its next UFC light weight defending defense Makhachev could possibly be confronted with UFC Federweight Champion Ilia Topuria in a huge superfight.
Topuria will make the full -time switch to lightweight while he enlightened the title for UFC 314. Volkanovski and Diego Lopes will come in for the vacant belt in the UFC 314 Main Event, which marks the sudden end of Topuria's title line.
Makhachev and Topuria may be confronted in the next lightweight title fight, despite some hesitation from the Makhachev team. UFC CEO Dana White stopped at the next fight of Topuria, which means that many speculate that the belt will probably be on the line for his lightweight return.
Makhachev defeated Renato Moicano in his most recent lightweight defending defense on UFC 311. He was originally supposed to combat Arman Tsarukyan before Tsarukyan withdrew aware of the injury.
The next title defense of Makhachev could be announced in the coming weeks, and regardless of his opponent, the Pound-for-Pond Koning will defend the throne.
