Islam Makhachev’s manager addresses whether Jack Della Maddalena fight could take place in Australia

The Islam Makhachev will perform at the end of the year to challenge the new Welterwet champion.

On UFC 315, Jack della Maddalena beat Muhammad to win the 170-pound title that opened the door for the lightweight champion.

The Russian has left his belt with Ilia Topuria, who is now facing Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC 317 at International Fight Week to crown a new champion at 155 pounds.

Makhachev has already drawn his attention on Della Maddalena, but the Aussie team hopes that the challenger will make the majority of travel for their final collision.

The UFC has already been to Australia this year for a PPV card, but Perth's own Della Maddalena wants to try to change that.

Ali Abdelaziz says that Jack della Maddalena vs Islam Makhachev does not happen in any way in Australia

Islam Makhakev's manager Ali Abdelaziz is convinced that his fight with Jack della Maddalena will not take place in the backyard of the champion.

Makhachev has previously fought in Perth when he defended the lightweight title against Alexander Volkanovski in a great fight.

With Della Maddalena who wants to avenge the loss of Volkanovski, this location adds an extra story to this fight, but Abdelaziz sees no events playing this way.

In fact, he does not necessarily believe that it will take place in Abu Dhabi who usually visits the promotion in October for a PPV card.

Instead, he believes that a collision of this size could take place in one of the two largest destinations for fighting in the United States.

“I already know, listen, it is not. It may not even be in Abu Dhabi. This is a fight big enough [that] It will be Madison Square Garden in New York, or it will be in Las Vegas. If they said it will be in Abu Dhabi, but it will not be in Perth of Australia or none of these places.

“In reality, Islam that fights for the Welterweight title this year. JDM is injured, whatever happens to him, it will be someone else fighting against Islam for the Welterweight title … If JDM is not ready, Islam will fight against someone else for the title of the Welterweight.

“That is what the UFC told me and I have no other reason not to believe that.”

Ali Abdelaziz says that Islam Makhachev is as strong as Magomed Ankalaev

Ali Abdelaziz is convinced that Vecht fans will see the best of Islam Makhachev in Welterweight now that he does not have to reduce much weight.

Some of the previous opponents of the former lightweight champion have spoken about the remarkable physical power that he brings to the Octagon.

Abdelaziz has detailed this by making a stunning comparison between Makhachev and the current light heavyweight champion of the UFC.

“I have been training with Islam for 10 years and I have been training with almost every goodweight,” Abdelaziz told Submission Radio. “I manage almost all the good weights in the top 10, four or five of them. I know what Islam brings to the table and I know what everyone is bringing.

“Islam is as strong as Magomed Ankalaev. He is a beast man, he is a freak of nature. He is talented and he is so technical, he is a problem man.”
