Israel Adesanya was unable to stop the tears while he fragped the last kilos for his weight that provided his latest UFC defeat.
The legendary two-time central weight champion was allowed to enter 186LB for the first time in six years when he fought against Nassourdine Imavov in a rare non-tile fight. However, he still chose to get to the button on the championship weight of 185 pounds.
In the end it was for nothing when Adesanya was eliminated in the second round to take his record to a remarkable 1-4 in the last five fights. He once looked unbeatable at 185 pounds, but now has trouble returning to the top of the sport.

During the fight week, Israel Adesanya shared his progress with fans while he and his team are preparing for his return to the Octagon. The former champion came back for his first non-title fight since February 2019, after he was stopped by Dricus Du Plessis back on UFC 305.
In his third video of the Vechtweek, Adesanya refused to hide the brutality of his weight while struck the last kilos to make the middleweight limit. He shared images of himself in the bath that lasted his last piece of weight, in which he cries and explains that his “eyes just sweat.”
“I feel my body tingling,” he said at one point, while he also described his tears when he “just let go of everything.” He apparently continued to speak incoherent before he finally got the desired weight and met his parents.

Unfortunately for Adesanya, such brutal weight broken in the long term was not useful because he was portrayed by Imavov in the second round. He seemed to win every exhibition and to close the Takedowns and more for the center of the second round.

At that time, Imavov landed a cruel right hand from the top that Flush landed and Adesanya hit down. He immediately swung the former champion and referee Marc Goddard had to stop the game to explain a TKO victory.
Imavov now flies up the ranking and consolidates itself as a top candidate for the middleweight title. However, it seems likely that he will be taken over by Khamzat Chimaev to face the winner of Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis' Rematch next week at UFC 312.
