Phil Foden spoke about the expectations for the team prior to a new season in which Manchester City wants to increase the standards again.
Phil Foden said that Manchester City needed new signing sessions to breathe life back in the team after everything went wrong last year.
Foden was one of a number of players whose shape suffered an alarming dip and Pep Guardiola was unable to cope with an injury crisis that robbed him from Rodri for the entire campaign, as well as a reliable center-back pairs.
With so many problems, City crashed from the Premier League and Champions League by February and had to scramble to secure a top-four finish on the last day.

“We can all see their quality of the Club World Cup and what they bring for the team. We currently have a big team, but I think it is definitely necessary. I look forward to the season and link with players with whom I like to play and really enjoy it.
“It always comes at a time when a club has to add new players and freshen up things and we have done that in this transfer window. That can only be good for us, because the players we have brought in are very high and fit right in the team and give us something that we need a little more, so we are here to help and we now have a very good team.
“I think everyone wants to make up last season, we all want to come to our best and win titles. We have a lot of experience in the dressing room, with Bernardo [Silva] Being captain and hopefully he can push the boys, we have every experience and we did it before. “
