“It is something…” – Jude Bellingham reacts to Barcelona’s Nico Williams snub

The big subject in Spanish football is currently revolving around Nico Williams, and although Real Madrid is not involved in the case, they will have thoughts about the decision of the Athletic Club-Vleugel player to sign a new 10-year contract, so that a move to Arch Rivals Barcelona is rejected in the process.

Earlier in the summer it was reported that Real Madrid himself was interested in signing Williams, probably as a possible replacement for Arsenal-linked Rodrygo Goes. But they quickly continued with the signing of Franco Mastantuono, who will join Xabi Alonso's team when turning 18 in August.

Barcelona then entered the race, but despite a lot of optimism within Catalonia of a deal that is being done, the Saga ended up with Williams who made a movement for the second summer in a row.

Real Madrid supporters around the world have taken the opportunity to put pleasure in Barcelona about the failed striving for Williams, but midfielder Jude Bellingham has been avoided. Speaking with the media on Friday (via Marca), he made it clear that he is not interested in the case.

“I don't care. It is something that has no influence on Real Madrid. So I don't care. It's not Real Madrid news.”

During the interview, Bellingham was also asked how good friend Trent Alexander-Arnold deals with the tragic news of the death of the former Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota. He confirmed that he is supported by his new teammates.

“It is clear that it has been a very tough day. He has the support of the entire team. It is terrible news and we are all shocked by the news. We send all the support to the family for the loss.”
