Cristiano Ronaldo concluded a potential return to sporty CP and said, “It makes no sense” to join his boy's club again.
The five-time balloon d'Or winner, who celebrated his 40th birthday on Wednesday, started his shimmering career at Sporting in 2002, before he came to Manchester United the following year.
Ronaldo then won seven domestic titles, five championships and four club world cups in his spells with the Red Devils, Real Madrid and Juventus, while he also accepted Portugal to Euro 2016 Glory.
After his short return to Old Trafford, the attacker joined Al-Nassr in 2023 and has since scored 81 goals and delivered 19 assists in 89 performances for the Saudi Pro League outfit.
Ronaldo's contract is at the end of the season, in which he scored 23 times, although he reportedly agreed an extension of a year with the side of Stefano Pioli.
Anyway, he insists that a second spell with sports is absolutely not on the cards.
“No, never, I think it makes no sense,” he said in an interview that was shared via the Nassr zone on X.
“My career started in Portugal, and it's not because I don't like Portuguese football, or don't think it's quality. But I think everything has a time and a limit, and I never thought of that.”
Ronaldo is back in action on Friday when Al-Nassr Al Fayha in Al-Awwal Park Host.
The men of Pioli are third in the Saudi Pro League after 18 games, eight points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
