Tony Ferguson describes his last conversation with the UFC buyer
Tony Ferguson spoke earlier this week via the Ariel Helwani show that his last conversation with the UFC was more than one way Bitterweet.
“When I left the UFC, everything was – I hate to say it because I wanted to fight another time – but even, even me, I had to be like:” I have to apologize for guys, I don't want to leave on bad conditions.
So, talk to Dana [White]Talk to Hunter [Campbell]And it came to terms with it, it was as if we all agreed that it was in the best interest for me to continue and to be honest it was great. “
The UFC official period from Ferguson may have finished on an eight-fighter losing streak, but he now has a new lease in life thanks to the GFL and there are plenty of reasons to be enthusiastic about this new chapter of his career.
“I want to play different sports, I want to experience new things, new trophies, new rings, new F – championships, I want to keep adding to my resume.
“For a long time this sport has been built on the back of very strong men and women, from the hunters to the promoter, and I am knee-deep in most F-changes that have been installed in this sport … We cannot be afraid of change.”
Ferguson then called 'Macho Man' Randy Savage while he teased: '' If you shake things, the cream always rises to the top 'and here we are with the GFL. “
Tony Ferguson reveals that he was in 'heavy negotiations' for boxing fights
Tony Ferguson will fight Dillon Danis in the Global Fight League (date and location will remain TBA) later this year, but he was previously in 'Heavy Negotiations' for a boxing fight against internet star KSI.
“First I was first offered a boxing fight against KSI, we were in heavy negotiations that were great – I am ready to go that f – fight … I was ready to go f – and they wanted me to go to a press conference the week and I was really down.
“I started talking to my team and my father, I now have my father in my corner, and we are” hey, you know what, let's finish mixed martial arts and then we can worry about boxing later “.”
The famous British internet star is actually set to fight Danis in the main event of MF & Dazn X Series 21 on March 29, where Ferguson repeats that the door remains open to a future boxing company.
“It was not as if we said no, but it is just that we started to concentrate more on MMA and then KSI I think another opponent was found, because then it was the [Global Fight League] Design – that was when this S – went down.
“We want to play some heads, we want to make sure everything is good, and we are just losing te tired … as if it is the dub season all day from here.”
