On an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcaster said: “The fight was bizarrely shocking how violent the ending was because Jon really hated Daniel.
“I went to talk to Daniel, and literally as I go to talk to him, he turns to me, and I have the microphone, I'm like, 'Why am I interviewing him after he got eliminated?' What the hell is wrong with me?
“I care about that man very much, and I just watched him pass out, and now his heart is pouring out, and he's crying as he realizes he's passed out and lost the fight. It was all terrible.
“So I posted. It haunted me all night. No one said anything, no one from the UFC got mad at me. I just thought, 'Why did I do that? Why did I interview him? I shouldn't have interviewed him.”
