Real Madrid returns to La Liga this weekend while they are organizing Celta Vigo, but all the conversation was about Carlo Ancelotti. The final defeat of Copa del Rey against Barcelona has raised the pressure on the Italian, whose exit has now been taken for granted at the end of the season.
As expected, there were questions about his future during the Ancelotti press conference, but as a diario like, he did not want to avoid getting into the issue.
“I am doing well. I understand that you want to talk about my future, but I don't. It's simple. It is a lack of communication with you. I know very well what I have to do, what I will do and what I do, namely not talk about my future. I know I disappoint you today. But I don't care.
“My feeling is to think carefully about the game of tomorrow and try to win it. And then prepare well for the next game, which becomes very important and gives us the opportunity to fight even more for this competition.”
Ancelotti also rejected suggestions that he is not respected by the club because of the number of leaks/reports around his future – and possible replacements.
“No, no, absolutely not. I have a very good relationship with the club and with the club we always talk about everything, I have a fantastic relationship. Information is what it is and many of these are not true.
“What will happen … I don't know. Whatever happens, it will be a fantastic farewell, because I have a lot of affection for the club. I will never argue with the club and I will not allow the club on the last day.”
Ancelotti Wis has certainly determined to end the LA Liga season at a peak, or that ends with Real Madrid who retains their title or not. But something other than a victory against Celta would make things even more precarious for him.
