Joe Rogan was visibly shocked when Tyson Fury told him his epic comeback story.
'The Gypsy King' became heavyweight champion of the world when he easily defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 12 rounds in 2015, but his boxing dream soon turned into a nightmare as he began battling several life-threatening issues.
Tyson Fury ballooned to 400 pounds while struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, which were exacerbated by his substance abuse problems.
Against the odds, the Englishman managed to complete an epic body transformation before getting back into the ring, winning a pair of comeback fights and facing Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title in 2021.

Joe Rogan praises Tyson Fury for telling his story
Before the first of his trilogy of fights with 'The Bronze Bomber', Fury sat down for a 73-minute conversation with Rogan, which focused heavily on his journey back to the top after struggling in the public eye for several years.
The UFC commentator praised Fury for bravely speaking out about his issues.
“Kudos to you for doing that,” Rogan said when Fury opened up about his mental health struggles.
“So few people have the courage to talk about their struggles when they are experiencing them because it seems like a weakness.
“It's very powerful that you are willing to do that and just be open and honest about it.”
Fury went on to talk about his journey from world champion to a depressed shadow of his former self.
Rogan listened and barely said a word for 20 minutes as the 6-foot-1 giant discussed dealing with mental health issues throughout his life before reaching a crisis point after beating Klitschko.
Fury was considered an 'imminent death risk' by doctors before things turned around. The 36-year-old went on to have his first fight with Wilder, but he knocked him out in back-to-back clips to complete his epic comeback by re-establishing himself as the best heavyweight in boxing.
Tyson Fury makes a big sacrifice for Oleksandr Usyk's rematch
Six years after his interview with Rogan, Fury continues to compete at the top of boxing.
Oleksandr Usyk handed him his first defeat when they fought for four world titles in May.
A rematch between the heavyweight duo will take place on Saturday evening at the Kingdom Arena in Ridyah, Saudi Arabia and Fury has left no stone unturned as he looks to avenge his only career loss.
The family man, who has seven children, recently revealed he hasn't seen or spoken to them in months.
“It's been a long camp, I've been away from my wife and kids for three months,” Fury revealed.
'I haven't spoken to Paris at all for three months, not a word.
“I have sacrificed a lot. It will be 100 percent worth it.”
Usyk takes a different approach. The WBO, WBC and WBA heavyweight champion has been away from his family during camp, but he is in constant contact with them as they inspire him to get through tough times.
“I talk to my wife every day, every time, every second, every minute. My children too, it helps me, because they are my family,” he told TNT Sports. “For me it doesn't matter what Tyson does. For me it matters what I do.
“My daughter, Maria, started walking and said 'Mama' and 'Baba'. Baba is like a grandmother. This really motivated me.”
