So far, Jack Grealish has played every minute of the Manchester City FA Cup campaign, but given that the caliber of opposition is about to become much harder than he can bend
Pep Guardiola has refused Jack Grealishe to give all the guarantees about his future in Manchester City.
The midfielder of £ 100 million played only 605 Premier League minutes this season and was omitted from the first English team of Thomas Tuchel for the two World Cup qualifications against Albania and Latvia. Grealish, who will be 30 in September, needs more action if he will reach the final of next year in Canada, Mexico and the US.
He played every minute in all three games against Salford, Leyton Orient and Plymouth while City has reached the FA Cup quarterfinals – but writing will be on the wall if he misses when the blues travel to Bournemouth.
Asked if he expected Groalishe to look for a new challenge in the summer, Guardiola said: “I am not going to talk individually about what will happen in the future.
“The future is Bournemouth and Dan Leicester. I am sorry, I am not involved. If we have no titles to fight, I can fully understand it and they (the players) can do it private with the club.
“It's fine. But I am not involved – and I don't want to be involved because we are here to do our work and help man City to win games. That's what we have to do.”
Guardiola discussed the future of Grealish's future earlier this month, after the former Aston Villa man was depicted in a social club in the northeast, said: “He is so famous, people follow him. Nothing to comment.
“A day off is a day off, there is no training. She (the players) know what to do. They have a private life to do what they want. I am not going to determine what they do in their private life. I assess what I see on the field, the training sessions and the performances in the game. That's where I judge the players.”
“Of course I wanted to be at his best, but he had setbacks and did not play, but that was sometimes for the injuries.
“He couldn't get the rhythm that you need to be ready every three days. Jack played the last game really well (against Plymouth) and hopefully he can have the consistency.”
