Jack Grealish transfer news: Everton interested in Man City winger

The future of Jack Grealish in Manchester City seems to be more than four years after he became the first £ 100 million player of English football. Where is after a troubled two years for the talented winger?

Could it be Everton? The toffees have made an approach to Man City with a possible deal to sign Grealish. There is some suspicion about how advanced those conversations are, with some suggestions that conversations have not even started.

I think it is very clear that this is still at a very early stage and the feeling that we get, and from my colleague Vinny O'Connor who is in the northwest, it is that if this happens, it can be much later in the window when things have become a little clearer for both clubs.

However, it is just as clear that their manager David Moyes is a huge admirer of Grealishe and thinks he could really do well for Everton.

That probably means the use of him as a no 10 instead of a left wing player, because with Iliman Ndiaye and other options they have on the left, Grealisk would not go into that position in that position. So that's interesting.

There is another interesting problem and one that will be the most important focus of these conversations – his wages. He is one of the greatest earners at Etihad. We are told that he is at £ 300k a week, and it is quite clear that Everton cannot afford to pay for it all himself. It would blow their wage structure from the water.

I expect those negotiations to concentrate on the share of his salary that can be paid by Everton and by Man City.

It will be fascinating to see if other clubs are coming in to make their own bid at Grealish at this stage, because I suspect that there are a lot of Premier League clubs, especially if Manchester City is willing to pay some of his wages that would like him on loan for this season.

So how big could this be for him? Because this is a player who will be fully aware, there will be a world cup on the horizon next summer and has not yet been part of Thomas Tuchel's plans. This is therefore of vital importance to speed up his career.

And as things stand out, he is absolutely out of miles, even qualifying for selection by Tuchel because he just doesn't play enough games. And so I think he will want to move. He will of course be interested in which clubs come in for him.

Everyone talked about the fact that Jack Grealish should go. Pep Guardiola has not offered any guarantees that he will stay in the club this season, and he certainly did not offer him any guarantees about how many games he will play. And it is very, very clear from everything that happened last season that he is not part of the plans of Man City.

He only made one Premier League start in 2024/25. He was an unused replacement in the FA Cup final. And that is a signing of £ 100 million club record. It is therefore logical of all parties when he continues. Everton looks like they can be the club that can offer him that chance.

We do not yet know if he is interested in moving to Everton, but it is quite clear that David Moyes and Everton currently have quite ambitious plans. And if they can sell that vision to him, who knows at the end of this transfer window, Jack Grealish may might pull an Everton shirt in their new stadium.
