Jadon Sancho reportedly agreed personal conditions with the Italian champions Napoli while looking to end his Old Trafford Nightmare.
The 25-year-old came to Manchester United in 2021 for £ 73 million and there was high expectations of the star that excelled in Borussia Dortmund.
But he only scored nine Premier League goals for the Red Devils and he has never recovered from a public spit with Erik ten Hag, which led to Dortmund last year.
Sancho spent on loan in Chelsea last season after he had gotten out of grace at Old Trafford.
The blues saw a mixed season to permanently sign him for £ 25 million, although that meant that they had to pay a fine of £ 5 million to send him back to Manchester.
But now the England international is finally about to leave United permanently.
Although he has agreed personal conditions, the deal, which was said to have almost been completed, got stuck after United has set their asking price too high.
Ruben Amorim's side has asked for a transfer costs of € 25 million (£ 21.3 million), which is too much for Napoli, according to Sky Sports Italia.
Sancho hopes to breathe new life into his career, but it seems that United is struggling to shift him.
Despite his success in the past in Germany, Dortmund does not want to offer him a route from Manchester.
Last week Dortmund's sports director Sebastie Kehl excluded a move.
“Of course there is always a kind of contact with Jadon because of the long history we share, but at the moment Jadon is not a subject for us,” he said.
If Sancho completed a move to Napoli, he would be in line under former Chelsea -Baas Antonio Conte and a large number of former Premier League players.
Former United midfielder Scott McTominay was called the Serie A player of the season, while former striker Romelu Lukaku and Billy Gilmour also played when Napoli only won their second competition title in 35 years.
Conte looks his team while the Naples outfit will retain and participate in the last phases of the Champions League next season.
Last week they officially confirmed the signing of the legend Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City.
Napoli is reportedly also focuses on Liverpool -striker Darwin Nunez for a summer movement and is linked to Jack Grealish, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Trevoh Chalobah.
