Jake Paul leans on support from Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson and others in message to Doubters
During his short term of office as a professional boxer, the 28-year-old had constant doubts that tried to reduce his performance.
And with that it has led him to be involved in various arguments with some of the biggest names in combat sports. Paul once offered UFC star Paddy Pimblett $ 1 million to spar him after Pimblett claimed that he 'repaired' fights.
Despite the breaking of different milestones in sport, fans continue to doubt and put 'the problem child' down to not fighting active boxers near his age and for changing the current landscape of boxing.
In a recent interview with Dazn Boxing, however, Paul leaned on support from Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson and others with a message to his doubters.
“I don't really care (because of the doubters), I have seen who they cheer, so I don't care who they criticize. And in the meantime they hyper these fights in which the hunters throw six punches per round and they are the most boring fights we have seen this year.
“I understand why people want to protect, protect, criticize and get me down, all these things, but they don't know who I am, they don't know how seriously I take the sport.
“The real such as Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Manny Pacquiao, even Floyd Mayweather, all these people are the ones who give me respect and see what I did for the sport and that is what really matters. Not the reporter or the box critics who naturally talk about me.”
Jake Paul earned an amazing amount of money despite the first pro loss
The only time 'The Problem Child' fought against an active professional boxer near his age, when he fought against Tommy Fury in 2023.
Although we have moments of success in the fight and even dropping anger in the final round, he then lost a split decision, with his first loss as a professional boxer.
Although he lost the fight, Paul claimed that he had taken an amazing $ 30 million from the fight and picked up one of his largest payment indays during his short term of office.
