Jake Paul sent Canelo Alvarez a pointed message in the night that they would have had a super fight Cinco de Mayo.
The controversial boxer with celebrities had anything but agreed on Saturday evening to face Alvarez in Las Vegas. However, that plan was thwarted when Turki Alshikh entered the eleventh hour with a deal with four fights with the biggest superfight in boxing between he and Terence Crawford.
Before they were able to reach the Crawford fight, that will be promoted by UFC boss Dana White, the super-mid-weight champion had to make a mandatory title defense against William Scull last night. The competition was a record -breaking stinker with the least punches.

It seemed that Scull was happy to get through the 12 rounds without being seriously injured, so that almost no offense was launched. This frustrated Alvarez, who was unable to land many of his own in a special lack of shine outing.
Knowing that he would have been the opponent this weekend if his deal had gone through, Jake Paul was a particularly sharp spectator during the fight of the night. He simply tweeted that the show was 'embarrassing' for his 4.7 million followers.
Jake Paul and Canelo Alvarez would fight this weekend
Although the concept of a Canelo Alvarez and Jake Paul -fight may seem far -fetched, it was not just a matter of months ago. The couple was almost agreed to compete this weekend, with the Las Vegas competition.
Paul was expected to go back to Cruiserweight, where Alvarez would weigh on a career high, which would give up a huge amount of size to add intrigues to the game. Netflix would broadcast the show, just like she did the last outing of the American against Mike Tyson.
That fight attracted more than 120 million viewers in 60 million+ households and was a huge success for the broadcaster. Turki Alalshikh, however, delved into the last second and made a monstrous four-fight deal that Alvarez set up for a series of mega-paying days.
Instead, Paul was transferring the former World Championship Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Van Alvarez against Alvarez, after Alvarez faces Crawford in September, he is still locked up for two Saudi Arabian dates next year.
