Jake Paul has told Bloody Elbow he will no longer compete at heavyweight after beating Mike Tyson last night.
The YouTuber-turned-boxing sensation managed a lopsided unanimous decision against 'Iron Mike' on Friday night, choosing not to push for a stoppage. But he did it at an unnaturally high weight, which was almost 45 pounds heavier than the lowest weight of his career just 21 months earlier.
Now he plans to return to cruiserweight in search of world titles, which he believes could come in two years. It remains to be seen when he will return to the ring after suffering a brutal injury during the final weeks of camp.
Jake Paul outweighed Mike Tyson by 45 pounds than Tommy Fury
Prior to his showdown with Mike Tyson, Jake Paul tipped the scales at a career-high of 227 pounds. Just 21 months earlier, he weighed just over 183 pounds for his fight with Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia, and had even entertained the idea of moving up to face Canelo Alvarez.

But he has since moved up and needed the towel to make the 200-pound cruiserweight limit this summer against Mike Perry. Last year he made it to 185 pounds during his showdown with Nate Diaz, but during his warm-up fights with Andre August and Ryan Bourland he decided to come in at a much heavier weight.
Many fans and experts believe that his optimal weight is closer to the 185-pound mark, with his frame being difficult to balance between the cruiserweight and light heavyweight divisions. But he seems to think the higher end is better as he pursues world title gold in the future.
Jake Paul will lose weight again after the fight with Mike Tyson
Paul didn't get a chance to show off his heavyweight punching prowess last night as he slugged Tyson and admitted to 'carrying' him in the later rounds. But fans saw a glimpse during his training camp when he dropped a teammate who is ranked in the WBA top 15.
Speaking briefly to Bloody Elbow after last night's post-fight press conference in Dallas, Paul was asked if he would stay at heavyweight. As he boarded a buggy that would take him back to his dressing room, he quickly responded: “No way.”

He flattered to deceive last night but insists he was in a difficult situation, telling the media at his press conference: “People just love to hate me. I'm easy to hate and I deliberately say things that make people hate me. I play the heel, that's where I feed.
“That's exactly what I like to do and that's what entertainment is. And I ended up getting into entertainment as a 17-year-old in Los Angeles. But I have been playing this sport for four and a half years and have been so active in every event and taken on every fight.
“So if people want to see more of this challenge or fight this person, whatever it is, my answer to that is give him a few more months. I'm going to accomplish more things in a few months and I plan to do everything there is to do in this sport.
