Jamie Carragher was criticized by tennis legend Boris Becker in a new spug, only a few days after a row over the Africa Cup of Nations remarks of the Pundit
The ex-liverpool defender caused controversy when he seemed to play the importance of the tournament and was criticized by Rio Ferdinand before returning to his former Rival Premier League. Carragher had suggested that Afcon was not prestigious enough to take a push for the balloon d'Or by Mohamed Salah.
Now Carragher has been criticized for comments about Bayern Munich, where three times Wimbledon champion Becker Umbridge takes with his opinion. The winner of the ex-champions competition suggested that he did not judge the chances of the team against Bundesliga Rivals Bayer Leverkusen when they encounter in Europe.
The parties will meet next month in the Champions League Last-16. Carragher believes that failure to make progress in the competition to see that Vincent Kompany's position is being examined.
“Bayern has not convinced me yet,” he said. “Now they play against Leverkusen, who recently dominated Bayern in the Bundesliga. It's a 50-50 draw. Eventually I predict I Leverkusen [to advance].
“If Kompany does not win, there will be many questions about his agreement, because the competition is expected and the Champions League is the icing on the cake of a season. They have to reach at least the semi -final.”
Becker was unhappy with such an assessment. “There has been no questions about the appointment of Kompany!” He posted on X.
“In fact, Fcbayern just said the most important title of the title this year and are happy with the work of Vincent Kompany! Jamie is not well informed at all.”
Carragher saw that responding while quoting Becker's criticism. The Sky Sports analyst caused an apology, but one that just seemed a little tongue in the cheek.
“Apologies @Theborisbecker It won't happen anymore!” He placed and added a shoulder pick up and crying Lachemoji to puncture his comments.
Ex-Manchester United Defender Ferdinand could not help, but helped in Carragher again. The 46-year-old former English international responded to Becker's first post.
“Boris … he has a bad few weeks,” said Ferdinand. “Leave him away”.
Carragher had previously planned Ferdinand to give his opinion about the comments of the defender N Afcon.
“I didn't say you clown,” he said on Instagram. “Stop playing in the gallery as you always do.”
