Liverpool risks their Premier League title to blow opportunities if they have warned Jamie Carragher in the land of Alexander Isak and Fail.
The Anfield -legend has urged the Reds to urgently consider a plan B and believes that their firepower is too superficial in front.
Liverpool has already seen an offer of £ 110 million and Newcastle does not intend to sell, but Carragher thinks that an increased reimbursement of £ 130 million would be excessive.
Carragher also went fast in the 'unacceptable refusal' of Isak to play for Newcastle and suggested that the performance of the Swede on Tyneside is exaggerated.
Liverpool put four past Bournemouth on the opening night of the season, but Carragher is afraid that Arne Slot only has three 'top class operators' in Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo. That said, Federico Chiesa, Rio Ngumoha and Jayden Danns would like to prove him wrong.
Carragher wrote in his Telegraafkolom: 'Today it is Eddie Howe's crisis. It could soon be from Arne Slot.
'Slot will not defend the crown with just three out-and-out attackers from Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike. They cannot bear the goal-up burden without at least one, preferably two top-class operators on the front line, especially since Salah will be on Africa Cup of Nations Duty in December.
'Liverpool must be ruthless. It can't be “Isak or nobody”. Whatever their plan B, they have to start thinking about the implementation of it [early next week].
'I would of course like to see that the Swedish striker will be a Liverpool player, but not free of charge, and the suggestion that the first range of £ 110 million for Isak' Derisory 'is separated from reality. If Liverpool offers more than £ 130 million, it is too much. You would like Kylian Mbappe for the reimbursement.
'From the moment Isak made his debut against Liverpool in Anfield, he noticed, but there are worries. Now 25, he still has to prove that he has the sustainability of Salah. He did not start 36 league matches in his three seasons in England and 10 of his last 44 competition goals were punished. He wouldn't take them to Anfield.
'There is absolutely no justification for the refusal of Isak to play for the club who pay his wages. No matter how ambitious he is, or whatever promises he perceives, the idea that a professional football player is being paid thousands a week and tells his employer that he will not work, is unacceptable. The lack of self -awareness of someone who behaves like that is beyond my understanding. '
As it looks now, Newcastle does not look like budling. They ideally want two quality strikers through the door before he sells Isak.
They submitted an improved range of £ 40 million for Brentford's Yoane Wissa on Wednesday, but that was rejected within a few hours.
Isak missed the season opener of Newcastle against Aston Villa – a 0-0 -yellow game where they bleed dry from end product – and did not even train with his teammates.
Liverpool has consistently achieved the goal with their transfers – they are anything but blinked under sporty director Richard Hughes – but the worries of Carragher are weight.
The Premier League champions are hardly connected to another attacker this summer and were able to make up for it to make up for it if they go too late for another.
In a bomb statement on Tuesday evening, Isak Newcastle accused 'Broken Promises', an accusation that dismissed tone and one that has doubled them to keep him.
But Daily Mail Sport revealed what that could be in the latest edition of our confidential column in Liverpool, which you can read here.
