Jamie Carragher tells Mo Salah ‘I’ll meet you in the car park’ as he mocks Roy Keane live on Sky Sports
JAMIE CARRAGHER mocked Roy Keane as he joked that Mo Salah would meet him in the car park after Liverpool's win over Manchester City.
Salah produced a goal and an assist to take the champions to a sixth defeat in seven games.
After the match he spoke to Sky Sports and was presented with the Man of the Match award.
Salah asked who decided he was worthy of the award and he was told Gary Neville was responsible.
He joked that Carragher would not have nominated him after the pundit branded Salah as 'selfish' during a recent interview.
Carragher responded to Salah's joke, saying: “I'll see him in the car park.”
That led to laughter from his colleagues in the studio as Keane allowed himself a wry smile.
Just last week, Keane was involved in a fiery confrontation with an Ipswich fan at Portman Road while standing pitchside.
The former Ipswich boss told the supporter: “I'll wait for you in the car park” and came face to face with his mocker.
Salah, 32, hit back at Carragher after Virgil van Dijk joked: “I'm surprised Carragher wouldn't give it to you.”
A smiling Salah replied: “Ah no, him [Carragher] wouldn't give it to me. Never. He wouldn't do that! I don't want to talk about this!”
Carragher also replied to X, saying: “I would have given it to Van Dijk to be honest!”
Salah's comments come after Carragher criticized him for saying he was “more out than in” after failing to get a new contract from Liverpool.
Carragher told Monday Night Football: “Of course there have been discussions. At the moment there is obviously a big difference in valuation, how Salah and his agent value themselves, in terms of contract length, and how Liverpool do that.
“The reason Liverpool haven't offered a contract yet is because Mo Salah will reject it.
'They are still talking, I hope they meet halfway.
“But I have to say that I am very disappointed with Mo Salah. That interview last night…
“Liverpool have Real Madrid in midweek and Manchester City next weekend. That's the story for Liverpool at the moment.
And Mo Salah, especially the local reporters at the club, we know that he has been put in the mixed zone twice in seven years.
“That's absolutely fine.
“But he retires for the third time at Southampton because he won Liverpool the game and put it out.
“If he continues to comment or his agent continues to spread cryptic tweets, that is selfish.
“That is thinking about themselves and not about the football club.”
