Former Manchester United player Jesse Lingard has won his first big prize since he made a shock switch to the South Korean side FC Seoul 18 months ago.
Lingard, 32, made the surprise movement and spent 11 years at Old Trafford after he had passed the club's academy.
His most recent Stint in England came with Nottingham Forest when he made 17 Premier League performances in the 2022-23 season.
After he had been released, he returned to football by signing FC Seoul in February 2024 in a transfer that was labeled as the most important in the history of the K-League.
Lingard enjoyed a beautiful month for his current side and scored twice in four games to pick up two men from the Match Awards.
He also picked up a player of the week award to see him earn the award as a player of the month of the month.
It will come after Lingard had called up a fan of Manchester United on social media earlier this year after being accused of 'destroying the culture' in the club.
'He was left with his own culture [Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba] After Sir Alex left. '
In the meantime, Lingard quickly replied: “Please explain how I destroyed Paul and Marcus the culture of Manchester United?”
Another fan went in the conversation: 'You let us play well, what some stupid b ***** DS who' support 'not like this club because you have dance and fun'
Lingard, however, defended his position by saying: “Lool we just enjoyed our lives we played for the biggest club in the world, of course we made mistakes and we learn but we are going to enjoy and smile and dance.”
He was often criticized for his performance at Old Trafford, with a turbulent time by the end of his united career.
After he initially struggled at Seoul FC, he managed to turn things around and he broke the team on different occasions.
He said: 'Coach Kim Gi-Dong is someone who has a good understanding of football. He leads the team according to a clear plan.
'The K-League collects more fans. I hope that everyone in the football industry, including the coaching staff, players and front office, will not be satisfied with this atmosphere and will continue. '
