Ahead of his clash against Jamahal Hill this Saturday at UFC 311, Jiri Prochazka has tried to convince fans that he could finally beat Alex Pereira.
This Saturday at UFC 311, former UFC light heavyweight champions Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill will battle each other, with both hoping to return to title contention.
Both fighters suffered losses to current champion Alex Pereira in 2024, with 'Sweetdreams' being put down by 'Poatan' at UFC 300 in April, and Prochazka suffering his second defeat to the Brazilian at UFC 303.
The blockbuster UFC 311 event will still take place from Inglewood, California, despite the terrifying wildfires. However, UFC CEO Dana White has stated that if things get worse, the event will be moved to Las Vegas.

Jiri Prochazka tries to convince fans that he can finally beat Alex Pereira
Pereira's next title defense will likely come against Russian number one Magomed Ankalaev, and if the 37-year-old gets past what is being touted as his toughest test yet, he has hinted at a move up to heavyweight.
Despite this, Prochazka has tried to convince fans that he can finally beat Pereira, stating that he is pursuing a trilogy fight against the Brazilian.
The former light heavyweight champion has been under scrutiny for his bizarre training methods for several years and fans have continually begged him to adapt his style to a more traditional style of MMA.
With this, the 32-year-old claims that he has adjusted his style, making him believe he can now dethrone Pereira.
“For me, both fights (against Pereira) showed me a lot,” Prochazka began to explain to MMAJunkie.
“The point is: I mean this very seriously… I believe I have made improvements in my style, in my life, in everything that will allow me to meet Alex Pereira for the third time. Sorry, I believe in that, I really believe that I can become a champion and that is what I am going for, to become a champion again, no more words,” he continued.

Although Prochazka is currently ranked second in the 205lb division with only Ankalaev ahead of him, if he can get past the Russian, 'Poatan' will likely want another challenge, whether it be at heavyweight or a new lightweight heavyweight contender.
Fellow kickboxer Carlos Ulberg will face former champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 312, and a win for 'Black Jag' could move him to the next in line.
With that, Pereira revealed on social media last Monday that he has “good news” this week, teasing potential fight news.
“Goodbye boy,” Ankalaev said to the champion on X.
