Joanna Jedrzejczyk set a UFC title record record today eight years ago.
Long before her rival Zhang Weili came, the UFC Hall of Famer confirmed itself as the greatest stream weight of all time with six consecutive title fights.
Jedrzejczyk van Polen went undefeated for five years and defended her belt twice a year after the elimination of inaugural champion Carla Esparza in 2015.
Win of Lose, Jedrzejczyk consistently fought the best in the world of Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili (both twice) to pound Queen-Pond Queen Valentina Shevchenko above.
In the prime of her career, a 29-year-old Jedrzejczyk won her last title fight against one of the scariest finishers who have ever seen the women's divisions, a future champion in Jessica Andrade.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk established a significant strike record vs. Jessica Andrade
On May 13, 2017, the last successful title defense of Joanna Jedrzejczyk took place on UFC 211 in Dallas, Texas – the same place where she won the title on UFC 185.
Jedrzejczyk was linked to the Brazilian powerhouse Andrade, a former Bantam weight that is finished in three weight distributions. The hard-handy 'Pile driver' was wearing a lot of hype prior to her first title fight with stoppages about Joanne Wood and former title finer Jessica Penne.
Behaviorless in her approach, Andrade Jedrzejczyk cut with punches in the first minute and formed a hematoma on the head of the champion. Jedrzejczyk smiled and stood her ground on the feet. Andrade only insured two Takedowns on Jedrzejczyk, who rose relatively quickly.
Jedrzejczyk showed great defense and footwork and left Andrade almost 3-on-1 in important strikes. Jedrzejczyk set up a brutal leg kick clinic and held Andrade Councils with Jabs, kicks the body and head.
During five action rounds, Jedrzejczyk established a new UFC title combat record with 225 important strikes. 'JJ' won all five rounds against Andrade with one judge who scored the fight 50-44 in favor of the champion.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk says she is particularly proud of the last win
After the best performance of her career, Joanna Jedrzejczyk did not stay in the Stromweight Division long because she was struck by Rose Namajunas later that year.
Jedrzejczyk alternated between victories and losses after the fact, retired in 2022 with a pro-record of 16-5.
Looking back on a career that once saw her go 14-0, Jedrzejczyk said her fight with Andrade was one of her biggest performances.
'I am really proud of myself [for] The fight with Jessica Andrade, “Jedrzejczyk told MMA Island.
“It was one of the best [performances] In my combat career history. “
Jedrzejczyk has never landed more strikes than in her fight against Andrade and defended 8 Takedown attempts for 25 minutes.
