UFC Welterweight Competier Joaquin Buckley did not stop Sean Brady.
Joaquin Buckley will be confronted with the most difficult test of his MMA career when he will be confronted with former UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in UFC Atlanta next month. It marks the return from Usman to the Octagon in two years, arising from a middleweight loss to Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 294.
Buckley is on the edge of a Welterweight title shot after an impressive profit streak in the Octagon. He has defeated the will of Stephen Thompson, Vicente Luque and Nursulton Ruziboev since he has made the full -time transition to good weight.
But according to Buckley, his UFC Atlanta -headliner was not supposed to start with his.

Joaquin Buckley focuses on Sean Brady for UFC Atlanta
Enter Sean Brady, who defeated former UFC title holder Leon Edwards in UFC London earlier this year. He shouted the best good weights, including Usman, after his victory, but refused an offer to tackle Usman at UFC Atlanta.
Although Buckley is grateful for the chance, he believes that Brady has made a considerable mistake, because the two contenders chase the same goal.
In a recent interview with Parry Punch, Buckley Brady sustained to pass on the Usman fight to wait for a title shot.
'[Usman] claimed that he wanted the Sean Brady fight. Sean Brady skipped him because he is like that: “I don't need you now, I am no. 1 candidate.” Brady is stupid. If that is true, Brady, you stupid, “Buckley said.
“The name you have collected is worth nothing. Leon [Edwards] is worth nothing. Sean Brady is stupid because Kamaru Usman, he is that guy. Kamaru Usman will undoubtedly be a Hall of Famer in the UFC.
“So the names matter. The names hold value. The names hold weight. So Sean Brady F —, but are f- My blessing.”
At the moment Brady has not responded to Buckley's comments. After Ian Machado Garry played the role of the UFC 315 -back hunter, it is uncertain whether he will get an immediate title shot, as well as his timeline for a return to the cage.
Buckley and Brady both make fascinating cases for a title shot like Buckley is the victor at UFC Atlanta. But the UFC is notorious because it cannot reward to reward hunters who keep title shots.
Ian Machado Garry vs. Sean Brady is a potential option for a top candidate fight
After Brady Garry has publicly reprimanded for his comments about not getting the UFC 315 title, a matchup between the two top wells weights makes sense. Garry recently defeated Carlos Prates at UFC Kansas City, in a Bounceback version after his first career -decorative defeat in December.
The UFC Welterweight -Telfoto contains the addition of UFC Lightweight Champ Islam Makhachev, which will leave the lightweight belt for a movement to Welterweight. Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira will fight for the empty title on UFC 317.
Buckley, Brady and Garry all make compelling title shot boxes, together with the Shavkat Rakhmonov closed to the construction. Since UFC Welterweight champion Jack della Maddalena starts his title line, there is no shortage of options at the top of the division.
