Drakkar Klose will never survive his only knockout loss.
The 15-2-1 lightweight contender is just days away from returning to the Octagon to face Joel Alvarez at UFC Tampa, which is headlined by Colby Covington vs Joaquin Buckley and takes place Saturday night at Amalie Arena in Florida.
Klose is on a four-fight winning streak and will be in the top 15 at the end of 2024.
However, images of his latest defeat continue to go viral on social media.

Drakkar Klose's KO loss becomes a meme
Drakkar Klose took on Beneil Dariush at UFC 248 in March 2020.
The 36-year-old got off to a great start in the biggest fight of his career.
In the first round, Klose visibly hurt Dariush. During the next frame, both men opted to stand up and bang to entertain the crowd on the undercard of Israel Adesanya's fight with Yoel Romero.
Rogan feared the end was near when he proclaimed, “Dariush is really in trouble” as Klose backed him against the fence and hunted for a show-closing attack.
However, the fight quickly turned in the opposite direction when Dariush connected with a counter shot that wobbled his opponent, who he then charged to the other side of the Octagon.
Moments later, Klose was put to sleep by a hellish blow that shook the entire arena. A camera captured Joe Rogan, Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik going crazy in the commentary booth.
With his eyes wide open, Rogan repeatedly shouted “Oh my God” as Cormier collapsed onto his broadcast partner's lap as he marveled at the come-from-behind KO.
The images spawned a million memes that made Klose's defeat unforgettable.
Four years later, Dariush's victory still regularly goes viral on social media.
Drakkar Klose goes viral again with slam KO
Drakkar Klose went some way to helping people forget his famous loss when he scored a brutal KO win at UFC Austin in December 2023.
Joe Solecki made the serious mistake of holding his armbar attempt too long. Klose made him pay by lifting his opponent into the air and knocking him out with a brutal blow.
Footage of the sickening punch went viral, but not as much as the video of his fight with Dariush.
Still, Klose embraced the fact that he was on the other side as he watched the KO clip backstage.
He said, “God damn it. I don't know why he won't let go. Shit, he was gone. I should hit him again.
“Aw man, it wasn't even close. I don't know why he went for it. Damn, that's nice.”
