Joe Rogan backs Dana White as he blocks Jon Jones’ UFC White House dreams

Joe Rogan believes that Dana White has made the right call to go with a different headliner than Jon Jones for next year's White House show.

When President Donald Trump announced earlier this month that the UFC would bring the Octagon to the Witte House Law for a special pay-per-view, Jones immediately canceled his retirement. He joined the UFC test pool and insisted that he now had a new goal to compete again.

But white, after he initially called Jones vs Tom Aspinall, his 'dream headline' quickly changed his idea. Now he believes that it is too risky, especially given the history of Jones of issues in and from the Achthoek.

Joe Rogan supports Dana White's decision about Jon Jones

Although the event has been removed for almost a year, it is safe to assume that Joe Rogan will sit on the desk when the UFC comes to the White House. The famous comedian generally makes a color commentary for the PAY-per-view shows with Daniel Cormier-based in the US and missed his first in years last week at UFC 318.

But it seems that he will not comment on a Jon Jones fight, after Dana White told the media on Saturday that he was too liable to get the header. The legendary two -way champion is probably the largest star available, except for Conor McGregor, but is not the most reliable.

“It's not even about winning the belt,” explained White. “You know how I felt about him. You know that I can't run the risk of placing him in a large place in a large place and let something go wrong – especially the map of the White House.”

Rogan discussed this topic in his latest episode of the JRE MMA show with Khalil Rountree JR and told the light-heavyweight: “Now he wants to fight for the title in the White House and Dana is like” No, I can't trust Jon to not f-something up “.

“What is wild, but what are you going to say if Jon recently got more in trouble?” Rountree then noted that “it is difficult for Dana in his position, it is too risky,” to which Rogan passed twice that “it is”. “It's a story as old as time,” Rogan added.

Jon Jones responds to the decision of Dana White's White House

With regard to Jones, he had a relatively measured and understanding answer to White's comments at the UFC 318 Post-Fight Press Conference. He accepted his earlier misconduct, but claimed that he would remain training and be available in the case of changing plans.

“I heard the comments made at the press conference last night,” Jones wrote in a long -term X message. “While I was a bit disappointed, I am still in the UFC drug test bath, stay sharp and keep training like a professional. I will be ready for whatever comes.

“In a recent interview I shared that the chance to fight in the White House gave me a little deeper to fight, a 'why' that goes beyond salary or belts. Fighting for my country gives me a greater goal! The silver lining in everything is that the fans see my heart.

“They see, I am ready and willing to hire someone to represent my country on a historic stage. For me it has never been about the opponent. I hunted Legacy, something timeless, something bigger than the moment. So I keep sharpening, stay patient and stay loyal to fight on July 4.”
