Earlier in the night a hunter who may not have titles next to his name, but he has an equally iconic moment that will be tied to his legacy forever.
Joe Rogan has witnessed a number of incredible things during his term of office as a UFC commentator, but what Darren Elkins did on UFC 309 really made an emotional agreement with one of the voices of the sport.

Joe Rogan became emotional when replacing the story of the comeback victory of Darren Elkins on Mirsad Bektic
With 15 UFC fights already under his belt, Darren Elkins was already a veteran of the Octagon in 2017 and had confronted them with Jeremy Stephens and Charles Oliveira.
The incredibly sustainable and stubborn American rode a three-fabric win racing on the way to UFC 209 that took place in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in March of that year.
With Elkins who occupies the #14 ranking, he met the unbeaten #13-ranged Mirsad Bektic on the preliminaries as a huge underdog.
Bektic's status if the extensive favorite seemed to correct from an early stage of the fight, because he completely dominated the opening round with his grab and cut each other from the top position.

Everyins bleed a lot after the first five minutes, but the second round did not get any easier for him when Bektic kept getting his way.
The tables started to run in the third and final round, because Bektic started to slow down while Elkins continued to push like a zombie.
'The damage' continued to exert the pressure on his opponent before landing a huge main kick that folded Bektic on his head, so that what can only be defined as pure emotion in the immediate aftermath of the stop.
I haven't seen this much on the TL this week. After Darren each was dominated two and a half rounds, Darren Elkins returned to Knockout Mirsad Bektic.

During an episode of the Joe Rogan experience where he was accompanied by Invicta's Julie Kedzie, Rogan watched back at the moment when he spoke about the emotional highlights and lows of the sport.
Rogan knew that even again telling these events would make him emotional and that is exactly what happened.
“When Darren defeated Elkins Mirsad Bektic, it is so difficult for me not to cry in the octagon. It was so difficult! I will now start in well. When I interviewed him after that fight, I was just like that guy who was just emptied, I meant his whole soul from his whole soul. He did not take it – he did not give up.
“There was no stop in him, nothing, zero and then finally, in the third round he catches that guy and there is this f – the roar that he did after that fight was stopped where he throws back his arms and he moves around the cage and shouts, he is covered with blood, like there.
Darren Elkins still fights at the highest level to this day
Now at the age of 40 with 29 UFC trips to his name, Darren Eachins has achieved an incredible career lifetime prior to his return to UFC 314.
After beating Mirsad Bektic, each put together a total of six consecutive victories before he ended his streak by Alexander Volkanovski with whom he will share the card on April 12.
'The damage' has had many difficult moments and patches in his career, but he currently has back-to-back victories behind him.
He is now confronted with Julian Erosa on the Prelims and while he brought back to UFC 209, you can never really count anyone from a fight.
