Joe Rogan offers his opinion on Conor McGregor’s potential comeback to the UFC

The future of Conor McGregor in the UFC is still relatively doubtful, with the Irish star not fought in the Octagon since 2021 when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier.

Earlier this month, 'The Notorious' dropped a huge hint that he will no longer fight in the UFC, claiming that he is happy with everything he has done in his career and that he focuses on the Irish presidential race.

Nevertheless, prior to UFC 314 last Saturday, the former UFC Double Champion stated his interest in fighting the winner of the Co-Main event between Paddy Pimblett and Michael Chandler.

The 36-year-old then placed a huge $ 50,000 bet on Chandler to win by Ko, which lost money after Pimblett Chandler dominated on the way to a third round finish.

Joe Rogan doubts that McGregor will someday return to the UFC

During a recent episode of the Joe Rogan experience, UFC icon Joe Rogan Ilia Topuria had in the studio to discuss all things MMA and the UFC.

During their discussion, Topuria revealed that he was once in conversation with the UFC for a super fight against McGregor, but it never flourished.

And with that the UFC -Superster Rogan asked his opinion about Conor McGregor and whether the UFC support pillar thinks that 'The Notorious' will return to the Octagon.

“If I had to bet, no,” Rogan replied brightly.

“No, I don't think he's coming back, because he didn't come back yet, and he could have. If he really wanted it, he would have been back to the gym, planned a fight, tested drugs, clean and training, went through a camp and had a fight.

“He had a broken toe for his (planned) fight against Chandler, I understand that, okay, why would you fight with a broken toe? Especially a man who moves a lot like Conor, he trusts a lot of movement.

“Heal that toe up and what is what? Two months? And so you are back in the camp, and then you keep a fight and then fight again, but he didn't,” Rogan continued.

Joe Rogan also requests the party lifestyle of McGregor

Since a few years, UFC fans have wondered if the Irishman still has the motivation to get into the octhoek, especially with his eccentric lifestyle outside the fighting game.

McGregor is constantly seen at BKFC events, drinking and parties after viewing the fights, as far as many of his fans are concerned.

“Also, partying, constant partying, all these legal problems he knows, you know, around yachts and driving around in a Lamborghini, he is rich. Maybe he is ready).

“What is really sad is when he comes back when he is 39 or 40 (years old) and his body just doesn't have it anymore,” Rogan continued.

Whether or not McGregor is considering a comeback to the sport, he still has to register a test session this year at the UFC anti-doping agency. And with that he must be in the test pool for at least six months before he returns.
