When Dana White Joe Rogan first offered a role in the UFC, the icon initially rejected it for one reason.
Joe Rogan has been a staple in the UFC since 1997 and looks at how the promotion grows in the combat sports kower it is today.
Nevertheless, the MMA world was hit earlier this week by what seemed to be a big news, when it was revealed that Rogan will not comment on UFC 318 next Saturday in Louisiana.
It has been known for several years that the icon does not comment on UFC events abroad, but this will mark the first time in more than three years that he misses a PPV event in the United States.

Rogan reveals why he initially rejected Dana White's offer
Although many fans will only remember that Rogan is part of the UFC, he initially rejected the offer to comment when he was asked by Dana White rejected.
The comedian was first hired by the promotion to conduct interviews after the fight and he recently revealed that he actually lost money for the first few events he worked.
“Campbell Mclararen, one of the producers of the UFC was good friends with my manager, and they just had a conversation about how they needed a new interviewer after the fight,” Rogan began to explain to the ultimate human podcast with Gary Brecka.
“At first I was (skeptical), I had looked at it, you couldn't even get it on cable TV, it was exiled from the cable … They contacted me and said they needed someone to be an interviewer after the fight and I had something like:” F-ja, I will do it. “
“I did that for about two years, but at that moment it actually cost me money because I would do the UFC, which meant that I couldn't do that weekend … I had something like that, this was not going, and it didn't go anywhere when it comes to cable.
“Dana and I became friends because he would invite celebrities to come and this is when I organized anxiety factor … he and I would come together and I would go:” What about this fight? Do you know about this guy? ” I mentioned all these different hunters.
“He is going:” Would you comment? “And I'm going,” I don't want to work man, I just want to come and watch fights, “I had done it before and it didn't get any money in my pocket.

Although Rogan is one of the most iconic figures in sport, fans have recently become more critical of his commentary skills.
