Joe Rogan says that 'Elite Killer' Alexandre Pantoja deserves more appreciation
During a recent episode of his JRE MMA show in addition to light heavyweight Khalil Rountree Jr., Rogan discussed the historic resignation of the flight weight division.
Although the preference of the fans compared to the heavier divisions is largely associated with the record-breaking regime of Demetrious Johnson, the podcaster thinks it remains a problem when it comes to the perception of a man who pursues a 'powerful mouse' level of success.
Rogan said that the current flight weight champion Alexandre Pantoja criminal is undervalued, something he says it would not be the case if 'the cannibal' moisture in a higher weight class.
“Pantoja, that guy doesn't get the love he deserves,” said Rogan.
“When that guy comes to the octhoek, it is just like AF – Leopard has just entered the room. It's wild, man. It's wild.
“He has this feeling about him that champions have when they are just – – feel it,” Rogan continued. “Like a jaguar or something. A murderer, only an elite murderer.
“If that Motherf – a middleweight was champion, he would be a superstar. For me it makes me crazy.”
Alexandre Pantoja broke the record after record
Pantoja dominated Kara-France on UFC 317 to extend his count of successful title defenses to four since the convincing of Brandon Moreno to become champions in the Consensus 2023 Fight of the Year.
The Brazilian has quickly improved his estate with impressive victories as champion, and they left him as the leader in many UFC categories.
Pantoja has the most victories, finishes and submissions in the history of UFC flight weight. He is also only in the second place of Johnson, the largest of the all-time division, in title fight and wins the longest win-streak.
The next on Pantoja's incredible run is expected to be a confrontation with Joshua van, who started his claim with victories over successive PPVs in June. The Burmese Up-and-Comer beat the most recent top candidate Brandon Royval before he met with 'The Cannibal' on UFC 317.
