Joe Rogan does not comment on UFC 318, but a former hunter would not be surprised to still see him in Smoothie King Center on July 19.
The leading promotion of mixed martial arts is back in Louisiana this week, where one of the best hunters in the state will end their career in the UFC 318 main event.
After an MMA official period of almost two decades, Dustin Poirier will withdraw against Max Holloway, while 'The Diamond' will say goodbye for the symbolic BMF title of his former two-time opponent close to his house in Lafayette.
But when Poirier walks for the last time in the Smoothie King Center of New Orleans, he will do this without the presence of a well -known voice on comment.
Josh Thomson suggests that Joe Rogan could still attend UFC 318, but as a fan
It was unveiled by MMA Junkie early in UFC 318 Fight Week that Rogan will not come to Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier on comments for the numbered event of July 19.
Although the schedule of the renowned podcast -host has been illuminated over the past decade, with the old color commentator who avoids overseas trips, he has remained a pillar for domestic PPVs.
But Rogan will make a rare exception, which has become a surprise for many, since it means that he does not comment on Poirier's last farewell to a colleague legend in Holloway.
The lack of a conflicting tour dates has led to a lot of speculation about the absence of Rogan, and a former hunter shared an interesting theory about X.
“It would not surprise me if Joe is there to see Dustin fighting one last time with his boy Theo (von),” wrote ex-StrikeForce champion Josh Thomson. “Actually enjoy looking at one of the best hunters who ever finish his career with his friends.”
Von recently attended UFC 317 from Fight One, because he continues to get the reputation as one of the most MMA-reversed celebrities. Coming from Louisiana himself, the 45-year-old will probably be close by to say goodbye to the Octagon this Saturday.

Joe Rogan will miss a domestic PPV for the first time in three years
By not commenting on UFC 318, Rogan misses a PPV brought by the United States for the first time since 2022.
The 57-year-old, whose comments are increasingly criticized by parts of the MMA community, has not skipped a domestic numbered map since UFC 271, an event in Houston led by the Rematch of Israel Adesanya against Robert Whittaker.
Just like UFC 318, that absence was largely inexplicable, although it came during a period of controversy for Rogan because of earlier authorities of attacking language on his podcast.
