The younger brother of Johnny Walker echoed the unorthodox post-fighting parties of the light heavyweight after completing his opponent at UFC Vegas 102.
Valter Walker, the younger brother of UFC Light Heavyweight Support Pilier Johnny Walker, still had a triumphant version in the Octagon in his UFC Vegas 102 Return.
Valter was confronted on Saturday with his first top 15 test against Don'tale Mayes in the Apex at the UFC Vegas 102 Undercard. After a controversial victory in his most recent performance, Valter was out to make a statement to the rest of the division against Mayes and quickly employed the talented veteran.
Just over a minute in the fight, and after having gotten the fight on the ground, Valter sank in a nasty heel hook to force Mayes quickly. It was the second consecutive UFC victory of Valter after obtaining his promotion debut in April.

Coincidentally, the last performance of Valter ended that controversially also ended with a heel hooking attempt at UFC 305. The opponent of Valter, Junior Tafa, seemed to be tapping verbally before he quickly protested against the referee's socket.
Valter and Tafa had to be separated immediately after the fight after the exchanging of unaccepting, and Tafa struck Valter in the face before the staff intervened. This time, Valter undoubtedly left his second in so many fights in his newest hooks.
After winning the victory over UFC Vegas 102, Valter turned to his brother Johnny, who was an important member of his corner for this Vechtkamp. Until Johnny's surprise, Valter pointed the fight from Mayes to his brother just before the competition was officially made.

Johnny was supposed to return against Bogdan Guskov last month on UFC 311 before he withdrew because of injury. From this letter a timeline has not been set for Johnny's return to the Octagon, which would be his first fight since a loss for Volkan Ozdemir last June.
Before he fell to Uzdemir, Johnny lost last year in a UFC head event against Magomed Ankalaev. He has not won since he defeated Anthony Smith through a unanimous decision in May 2023.
Valter bounced back nicely after a UFC debut loss for łukasz Brzeski in his promotion debut last year. Before the unanimous decision loss for Brzeski, Valter won his first 10 professional fights with seven interrupt victories during that piece.
Now Valter probably deserved a place in the heavyweight Top 15 with his rapid finish from Mayes. The lack of depth in the UFC Heavyweight Division opens the door for talented prospects such as Valter to make a rapid rise of the division ladder.
Despite the training on the opposite sides of the world, the relationship of Valter and Johnny is unique in modern MMA. But when Valter gets the chance to bring down his brother Johnny, he will rarely pass on the chance.
