Jon Jones answers UFC retirement speculation as fans accuse champion of ‘holding the belt hostage’

UFC Heavyweight Champion Jones continues to think about uniting the heavyweight belts in a confrontation with Tom Aspinall.

Jon Jones continues to tease UFC fans about his fighting future months after the start of the negotiations with the promotion to combat the interim title holder Tom Aspinall. Earlier this week, Jones almost broke the internet when a leaked conversation with a hunter declared the heavyweight champion and declared 'I'm Done' when he was pushed over his activity in the Octagon.

In a recent message about X, a fan answered who asked him what it feels like to be a retired athlete.

“I don't know if I want to retire, I feel that I will always have the opportunity to jump out and show them. I had many breaks during my career, my identity outside is good intact,” Jones replied.

UFC fans did not hear from Jones after his last comments.

“Just stop holding the belt hostage,” replied a fan to X.

At the moment Jones has not commented on the state of the Aspinall fight and a potential pension from MMA.
