Jon Jones breaks his silence amid Tom Aspinall fight talks as he teases ‘story is still being written’

UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones posted a creepy message while Tom Aspinall Fight Talks continues.

Jon Jones and Interim Heavyweight title holder Tom Aspinall continue to talk to the UFC Brass about making one of the greatest fights of the promotion that flourishes. But as summer approaches quickly, the news of a potential booking has stalled in recent weeks.

Aspinall recently became the longest interim title holder of the UFC, who came from his knockout victory over Sergei Pavlovich on a cancellation on UFC 295. Since then Aspinall defended the interim belt against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 while he kept waiting for the Jones-Showdownnn.

Although the sides of Jones and Aspinall have spoken both optimism and uncertainty with regard to a possible fight, it seems that we can get good news around the corner.

Jon Jones Hints Tom Aspinall is 'One Last Perfect Spot' in Fighting Legacy

Jones and the UFC have been in active negotiations since he successfully defended the title against Stipe Miocic on UFC 309 in November. Despite some first fear when granting Aspinall the following title shot, he played on a previous pension contract for a final appearance in the Octagon.

While Jones keeps thinking about his legendary career and with his sights on what the next step has taken, he shared a message that Vecht fans will excite.

In a recent Instagram post, Jones showed his collection of fighting posters and hinted that Aspinall will fill the missing place on his wall.

“Now, as you can see … Still not hung the Stipe fight or have recently moved a million miles per hour. But there is a last perfect place on my wall of the victory,” said Jones.

“And looking at this wall – it really touches me. This is not only works of art. It is legacy. Every poster tells a story. Various chapters. Different houses. Various battles. Wins that the world meant at the time. Fighting history wrote.

“I said it before, my career has not been perfect, but it is unmistakably legendary. Epic. Special. Only a few words that come to mind. Legend after legend. Era after a era,” Jones continued.

“What I am most proud of? I have evolved. I am so much more than just a hunter. I am a man who becomes stronger in my faith, a family man, a loyal brother for my team, a businessman, a man for my community. And I know – without a doubt – my mother would be proud of the man I have become.

“The wall is almost filled … But believe me, the story is still written. The best is yet to come.”

With the UFC event for the summer that comes together quickly, Jones and Aspinall could possibly close the season with a linear heavyweight matchup. Jones vs. Aspinall could finally come until September, or so late in December, according to the last schedule of the UFC.

Since Jones made the full -time switch of slightly heavyweight in 2020, a collision with an opponent of Aspinall's caliber has been the visor of the legend. But Jones has only fought twice in five years, including his empty title victory on Ciryl Gane on UFC 285.

Insider shares the alleged backup plan of UFC for Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall

While waiting for an announcement from Jones vs. Aspinall, a UFC insider recently shared an alleged backup plan for the matchmakers. When Jones runs away and leaving the heavyweight title, Ciryl Gane is the most likely next opponent for the Shot of Aspinall on the Lineal Championship.

Jones's Instagram comments above are in stark contrast with his short post 'goat' theme earlier this week. After Jones had plagued fans, the trolls were fully in force and accused the UFC Hall of Famer of avoiding the Aspinall fight.

UFC CEO Dana White remains dedicated to having the Jones vs. Aspinall Fight flourish, as he recently hinted after UFC Kansas City. Both Jones and Aspinall are expected to receive lucrative payouts for the booking.
